VendBeacon text message program

What the texts are

VendBeacon is scheduling software used by food-truck businesses. A business that uses VendBeacon can send its own employees work-schedule texts: the week's shifts when the manager publishes them, a reminder the evening before a shift, and a notice when a shift changes. There is no marketing content. Texts are sent only to employees of the business that scheduled them, from a single VendBeacon number, and every message names the business.

How you opt in

Your manager adds you to the business's crew list in VendBeacon with the mobile number you gave them. Before anything else is sent, you receive one opt-in text:

[Business name] uses VendBeacon to text work schedules. Reply YES to receive your shifts, reminders, and changes by text. Msg & data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.

Nothing else is sent until you reply YES. Consent is not a condition of employment or of any purchase.

What you can reply

• C confirms your upcoming shifts.
• N tells your manager you can't make it.
• STOP ends all texts from VendBeacon. You can reply START later to opt back in.
• HELP returns this page's address and a support email.

Frequency, cost, privacy

Message frequency depends on your schedule: typically one text when a week is published, one reminder per shift, and a text for each change. Message and data rates may apply. Your number is used only to send these texts and to match your replies to your shifts. It is never sold or shared with anyone other than the business that employs you and the carrier network. Mobile information is not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes.
